Safety
Everyone at Integrated Deicing Services is involved and committed to safety. It is a team effort to prevent accidents and injuries. Together, we can keep each other safe and healthy in our work environment.
It is the policy of Integrated Deicing Services to protect the health, safety, and quality of life of its employees. All IDS employees understand that the management team fully supports an active and effective employee safety program. IDS is committed to providing a safe and healthful work environment for all employees and others who may work, visit, or enter the Company’s facilities. Creating a safe work environment contributes to the overall success of the company. Adherence to safety policies and procedures depends upon the individual, his or her personal training, and understanding of the policies.
Employees are encouraged to report any unsafe work practices or safety hazards encountered on the job. All accidents and incidents (no matter how slight) are to be immediately reported to the supervisor on duty.
Critical to implementing this policy is the strict compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures.
IDS makes every reasonable effort to provide a safe and healthful workplace that is free from any recognized or known potential hazards. Additionally, IDS subscribes to these principles:
- All accidents are preventable through implementation of an effective Safety policy and program.
- Safety and Health controls are a major part of work every day.
- Accident prevention is good business. It minimizes human suffering, promotes better working conditions for everyone, holds IDS in higher regard with customers, and increases productivity.
- Management is responsible for providing the safest possible workplace for employees. Consequently, the management of IDS is committed to allocating and providing all of the resources needed to promote and effectively implement this safety policy.
- Employees are responsible for following safe work practices, company rules and for preventing accidents and injuries. Management has established lines of communication to solicit and receive comments, information, suggestions and assistance from employees where safety and health are concerned.
- Management and supervisors of IDS set an exemplary example with good attitudes and strong commitment to safety and health in the workplace.
- IDS' health and safety program applies to all employees and persons affected or associated in any way by the scope of the business. Everyone's goal must be to constantly improve safety awareness and to prevent accidents and injuries.
