Salvatore C. Calvino
President

Mr. Calvino currently holds the position of President and CEO of Integrated Deicing Services and Quantem Aviation Services. Both companies are market leaders in their respective fields and have achieved substantial growth with high customer satisfaction. Under his guidance, Integrated Deicing Services was acknowledged in 2011 for the second straight year, by Inc. Magazine as one of America’s fastest growing private companies. Mr. Calvino is actively involved in the CEO Board Forum of New England, American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), and the National Air Transport Association (NATA).

Mr. Calvino is a hands-on, seasoned executive with more than 30 years of experience in the Aircraft Deicing, Air Cargo Handling, Aircraft Fueling and Aviation Service industries. With a concentration on Sales, Marketing and Operations throughout his career, Mr. Calvino has presided over the purchase, management and growth of several organizations. All of the companies that Mr. Calvino has guided have achieved superior service levels and profit growth. Mr. Calvino is also active in several charities in his local community.

 

Patrick Brown
Vice President, Sales and Marketing

Mr. Brown has the responsibility of working with current customers to maintain and develop best practices in Deicing Solutions which includes maximum throughput times, while lowering glycol usage. This combination is also used to develop programs with prospective customers. He has been in this position with IDS for 3-years.

Mr. Brown has been in the Airline Industry for over 24 years, beginning his career at FMC Technologies (now John Bean Technologies). At FMC, Pat worked in the AreoTech Division, the largest supplier of Ground Handling Equipment in the world with revenue of over $150 million. Pat began his career as Project Manager and eventually Managed Key Accounts, such as British Airways, FedEx, Air Canada and American Airlines. Pat was eventually named World-wide Sales Manager where he continued to develop partnerships with customers in three different regions; The Americas, Europe and Asia. Mr. Brown left FMC after 21 years and joined IDS where he has been for the past 3 seasons. Pat has a BS in Labor Relations from St. Vincent College in Latrobe, PA. Prior to joining FMC, Pat worked for both Xerox and Gillette.

 

Michael Grantz
Vice President, Operations

Mr. Michael Grantz began working for Integrated Deicing Services in September 2003 as an Aircraft Deicer after graduating from Kent State University with a MERT (Mechanical Engineering Technology) degree and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics with an Airframe and Power Plant License and Degree in Aviation. Beginning as a deicer in 2003 at the Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT), he was steadily promoted and in 2005 rose to the position of Operations Manager with the responsibility of start-up operations at the Detroit Metro Wayne County Airport (DTW). Mr. Grantz served as the General Manager for the start-up operations at our Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport (MSP), Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and General Mitchell International Airport (MKE) stations.

Mr. Grantz has conducted training on behalf of JBT technologies and has worked in the field testing fluids, designing deicing simulators and conducting training for airlines and cargo carriers (FL, NW, UPS, etc.). He has been a member of the SAE G-12 Aircraft Ground Deicing Committee since 2004.

 

Karen Fortin
Senior Vice President, Finance

Ms. Fortin is the current CFO of Integrated Deicing Services, LLC. A certified public accountant in the State of New Hampshire, Ms. Fortin has 24 years of accounting and finance experience in various positions in public accounting and private industry. As CFO, Ms. Fortin oversees the firm’s financial management as well as all banking and investment relationships. She was previously the Controller for ARC International plc, where she was instrumental in the financial integration of multiple acquisitions and responsible for financial reporting.

 

 

Bryan McCreary
Vice President, Fluid and Business Development

Bryan McCreary has been involved in the Aircraft Deicing Fluid business since the early 90’s. A graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry, Bryan brings with him a great amount of chemical and deicing fluid experience from his career. His entry into the deicing market was with ARCO Chemical (now Lyondell) as their National Sales & Service Manager where he directed all sales and customer related activities for the North American Aircraft Deicing Fluid Business. It was at this time that he became actively involved with the SAE G-12 Ground Deicing Committee, and continues to be an active participate in the Fluids and Holdover subcommittees.

Bryan spent the past eight years with Clariant Corporation as the North American Business Manager. While at Clariant, Bryan was instrumental in introducing and launching the deicing business in the U.S. for the company. He initially was responsible for directing all sales, marketing and business development activities for the North American aircraft and runway deicing chemicals business. His role grew to include procurement of raw materials, production, inventory planning, logistics and customer service. 


Daniel Young
Director, Sales and Marketing

 

Daniel Young works closely with all of the (IDS or CDS respectively) General Managers at each station to gain insight in the area of customer relations and individual customer needs in order to sustain the competitive edge and assist to meet company objectives. He is also responsible for maintaining the current customer base, seeking opportunities for new business, responding to bids and reviewing and negotiating contracts.

 


Mr. Young has been in the aviation industry for more than 25 years. He started his career in the early 1980’s at Precision Airlines as a fueler and was promoted to FBO/GSE Manager. From there, he has worked for Hudson General, Keyson Airways, Quantem Aviation Services, Servisair, AirTran Airways and Signature Flight Support holding a variety of management positions that required a focus on business development/sales, training and safety, employee management and development. Dan attended college at Florida Institute of Technology, Hawthorne College and Daniel Webster College with a focus in business and aviation management.

 

 

Brian Buck
Safety/Quality Assurance Manager

Mr. Buck has extensive experience and education in all aspects of workplace safety. Mr. Buck served 23 years as a flight engineer on Search and Rescue Helicopters in the United States Coast Guard and retired as an Aviation Structural Mechanic Chief. During his time in the Coast Guard, he served as the Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Program, Primary Quality Assurance Inspector, Flight Examining Board Instructor, Respirator Protection Coordinator, and Air Stations Corrosion Team Supervisor 8.

Mr. Buck was involved and trained in the EPA Environmental Response Training Program, OSHA Hazardous Incident Response Training Program, Confined Space Rescue Training, Advanced Aircraft Composite Repair and Corrosion Control Schools. He has completed several OSHA and NIOSH Schools and holds numerous certifications in aviation safety and accident prevention and investigation.
